GDPR: what & why

The EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) applies to all organisations and came into force on 25 May 2018.
The aim is to strengthen the data rights of EU residents.

The GDPR seeks to bring more transparency to people about what data organisations collect about them, and what those organisations use it for, as well as enabling people to prevent unnecessary data collection.

At Meet2Talk we are in full compliance with GDPR as is our supplier of data infrastructure; Amazon Web Services (AWS). At AWS their infrastructure is GDPR compliant and all information is stored securely and confidentially.
Only Meet2Talk has access to this information.

Your information & your rights

At Meet2Talk we only collect sufficient information to be able to offer you the best possible service. We do not share any data with third parties, nor do we use any third-party suppliers or services to process your personal information. We always know which information we store and where it is stored.

As a user on Meet2Talk you can always request and receive all the information we have stored about you, and you can delete your profile at any time.

If you as a user decide to delete your profile, all profile information, connections, messages and other information connected to your profile will be deleted, and will not be visible to other users. As long as your company has an active subscription you can always sign up again.

If you as a company cancel your subscription it will be deactivated and all employees and spouses will no longer have access to the service. Company details and user profile information, connections, messages and other details connected to the profiles will be deleted.

Traces, tracking and advertising

We all leave traces when we use the internet and we are often tracked and logged when we use websites and services. This is often done to ensure a certain quality of service. But collecting information and tracking your whereabouts is also done for commercial purposes, serving adds to you, and in certain circumstances selling your data.

At Meet2Talk we only collect information when you are using our service. We do this to enhance your user experience, offer you relevant features and new services, and to ensure security. We do not track you or your digital footprint anywhere else – and we of course do not sell or share information we collect on Meet2Talk with any third party.

Meet2Talk is a subscription-based service and ad free.
